Ive only had two bad gushers and a couple of smaller ones. I always have a cotton ball with me when putting in my sensor. If it starts bleeding, I just hold the cotton ball up to it for a while and check periodically if its done. Kinda like if you have a bloody nose. I think its saved a few monitors that would have been trashed.
