PERMITS AND ACCESS TO THE DOG. Dog Mountain is very popular. The parking lot is rather large. I did not count, but have read there is parking for about seventy cars which seems close. During the week, the best time if you can, still come early. A start from the parking lot trailhead at 8 to 8:30 am should get you a spot.
