Well, I don't believe there's a good infantry or archer commander F2P. Cavalry is very mobile and has good offensive boosts. Cavalry seems easier to combo. Baibars + Pelagius + Arabian CIV = 40% cavalry bonus damage. 1x1, except to a full infantry army, I believe Cavalry will on almost always against someone strong as you.
