If the truck can do 20 mpg empty, it burns 1.5 gal just covering the 30 miles, plus the extra 1 gallon going to the 9th injector. You end up using 2.5 gal /30 miles or about 12 mpg. These 2024's seem to be using closer to 2 gal/30 miles, plus the extra for regen makes 3 gal/30miles or 10mpg during regen.
