The latest Starfield extension for Vortex will remove the My Games\Starfield\Data folder and replace it with a symbolic link to the actual Data directory, so you don't need the Baka mod to disable it anymore. Makes me laugh, I did that I think two days after the game came out, when I realized having two different Data directories was a stupid idea.

Then if it doesn't work try and install them the other way. I would imagine that part of what Vortex is trying to do is fix it so you don't have to install out side of it.Install with Vortex. 1.
