Movin dirt. Apr 22, 2012. #6. deere 450c - 650g are all good tractors. The 450b's is good except it has dry steering clutches that are more suceptible to problems than the wet ones. That being said cat ran dry clutches i think up to the c series I belive, but i'm not a cat guru.

The JD BH forward reverser is very slow to engage when hot but works find when cold (meets factory tests). Reverse is fine hot and cold. I want to use a fluid that meets the JD specs. I have to do back to back changes since it is milky so that is 20 gallons. The picture of the other side of the can may clear up a lot of questions.The nut or bolt can be removed with the appropriate length 3/8 extension and a short impact wobble socket, working from in front of the starter and between the engine and frame rails. If the track is tightening up to where the tension is correct, don't worry about how much adjustment is remaining. Look at the front idler (wheel) front part of the slide mount to see the remaining rail left before it falls off.
