If you need to shorten the draw, put a shorter string, or twist it up, or move the cables so you have less "wrap" around the wheel. The more cable you have available to "unwrap" as you draw, the longer the draw length will be. Also, shorter draw, less letoff. Those old wheel bows were about 50% on a good day.
