My best guess since we are still very early in the KS7's life is that my gun was a Gen 1 off the shelf and after complete part replacement such as "Replaced grip assembly with updated action lock installed" it is considered upgraded to 2nd Gen. I imagine the "updated action block" is in Gen 2's off the line. Of course I'm just guessing here.
