The major difference that we could find was that the Accura V2 models feature a Bergara-branded barrel, while the Optima V2 has a "regular" CVA barrel. For those folks not familiar with the Bergara Barrels, this company supplies high quality center-fire barrels to many of the most respected rifle manufacturers in Europe and the USA.
For the little extra weight, I'd certainly go with the Optima and a nitrided model if possible. The Optima will have less barrel jump, or rise when fired. The release is much nicer than a Wolf. Sep 6, 2013. #2. I looked at my Optima. It has the breech release on the front of the trigger guard, And it works flawless. I did not see any indication of V1 or V2 or Bergara barrel marks. Although when I talked to a CVA Technician about my Optima he stated it had a Bergara barrel. Also my rifle has a fantastic trigger.
Another vote for the CVA Optima V2 Nitride!! I got one just for shooting BH209 an to have a backup in nasty super cold weather in our late ML season. I was pleasantly surprised at the accuracy with 90gr Volume BH209 and 300gr XTP/Harvester crushrib sabots. I purchased the the ramrod in 23 inch non tapered in 9mm diameter. (Barrel length 26 inches) that left the right amount of space for the spinjag attachment. 10/32 thread. B.
I have a new CVA Optima V2 stainless steel barrel. I currently have it zeroed at 100 yards with 80gr T7 loose powder with 295gr Powerbelt Aerotip. That leaves me 2.5" hight at 50. It's grouping consistently but I'm concerned about my muzzle velocity. Ballistic charts from power belt only go down to 100gr of powder.
