During a recent game our 7th level artificer's homunculus servant was destroyed. The artificer got its heart gem back and, prior to a long rest, discussed with the DM how they thought that they could bring the homunculus back immediately because the infusion was already known. The DM allowed it at the time and said they'd look into it.

He was a cute toy train, and became very popular with the group right around the same time he started getting dropped in round 1 of every fight. I'm considering bringing him back mostly because he's a popular team mascot.
