Feb 5, 2024. #7. T/C Hawken rifles in calibers up to 50 are 15/16" across the flats. Cherokee and Seneca barrels are13/16" across the flats. So, Cherokee and Seneca barrels are not interchangeable in a T/C Hawken. T/C Renegade rifles use a 1" across the flats barrel. Also not interchangeable.

If you are having problems seeing the sights, you might want to give the Lyman 57 peep sight. The Williams appetures fit this sight as well as the TC peep. My first flintlock was a TC .45 Hawken. It was very accurate with 240 gr Maxi balls ans 90 or 95 gr of Goex 3f. Like 3" 3-shot groups at 100 yards. I sold it when PA originally mandated patched round balls only.
